On May 7th, the last large section of steel beam was smoothly lifted on the Changzhou side of the main channel bridge of Changtai Yangtze River Bridge. This marks the completion of the main work on the Changzhou side of the Changtai Yangtze River Bridge, and the entire bridge is expected to be completed in June.
This project is the Changtai Yangtze River Bridge, which connects the bridge and highway on the Changzhou side. After completion, it will refresh the "Six World Greatest", one of which is to use the world's largest size carbon fiber composite material cable. Carbon fiber cables have excellent properties such as lightweight, high strength, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, low stress relaxation rate, and low linear expansion coefficient. The cables fully utilize the tensile strength characteristics of carbon fibers, and use carbon fiber cables to change the original transmission path of tower and beam loads in bridges, fundamentally solving the corrosion and fatigue problems of steel wire cables, achieving high-performance bridge structures with lightweight and long service life characteristics.
